Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer
Location: London & surrounding
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus company van, fuel card, overtime, phone, unform/PPE, pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.About Us:
We are a leading provider of water treatment and hygiene services, committed to delivering safe, compliant, and efficient solutions for our clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team.Role Overview:
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of water hygiene and compliance duties in accordance with current legislation, guidance, and company procedures. The role involves visiting client sites to ensure water systems remain safe, clean, and well-maintained.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine monitoring, sampling, and testing of water systems.
- Carry out temperature monitoring and inspections of hot and cold-water systems.
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and chlorination of water systems.
- Undertake Closed System Analysis, including sampling, testing, and dosing of closed heating and chilled water systems to maintain chemical balance and prevent corrosion or fouling.
- Support remedial works and minor plumbing tasks where required.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports on all work undertaken.
- Ensure compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, and other relevant legislation and industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Water Hygiene Engineer or similar role.
- Good understanding of water hygiene, Legionella control, and ACOP L8 requirements.
- Experience in Closed System Analysis and water treatment of closed heating/chilled systems.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
