3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Gillingham, Kent 
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00
Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

A multi-site UK organisation is seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist to take ownership of its IT infrastructure and play a key role in hybrid technology improvements across the business.

The Role

Provide 3rd line BAU support across multiple UK locations
Lead and support infrastructure projects (server builds, M365 migrations, DR, networking)
Manage Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, Entra ID)
Support backup and recovery solutions (Veeam / Backup Exec)
Work with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders
Mentor 1st/2nd line engineers
Support cyber security initiatives and infrastructure documentation

Key Skills & Experience

5+ years’ experience in a 3rd line / senior infrastructure role
Strong Windows Server experience (2012–2025)
Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
Active Directory & Entra ID
Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs)
Virtualisation (Hyper-V)
ITIL experience preferred
