A rapidly expanding packaging distributor, recognised as one of the leading companies in the UK and Europe, and are seeking an exceptional Head of IT & Digital Transformation. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the technology strategy, driving innovation, and embedding digital transformation across the organisation.

Location: Bedford (on-site)

Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 DOE + benefits

• 23 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 25

The Role

You will be the strategic technology leader, shaping how IT supports the business today and in the future. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure systems and processes are fully aligned with business growth objectives. Your remit will cover process improvement, CRM integration, cyber security, and digital innovation, ensuring technology is an enabler, not a barrier.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the IT and digital transformation strategy aligned with long-term business goals
• Introduce, integrate, and optimise CRM systems, ERP platforms, and other core business applications to improve operational efficiency
• Lead initiatives to streamline processes, automate workflows, and make systems intuitive for end-users
• Ensure robust cyber security frameworks and data governance across all IT systems
• Drive digital innovation, identifying and implementing technologies that create measurable business value
• Manage, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with commercial, operations, and finance teams to ensure technology solutions support growth and profitability
• Lead technology projects from concept to delivery, managing budgets, risk, and stakeholder expectations

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in IT leadership with a strong track record of delivering digital transformation at scale
• Proven experience with CRM, ERP, and integrated business systems, including implementation and optimisation
• Deep understanding of process mapping, workflow automation, and business process improvement
• Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, data protection, and IT governance
• Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience at a senior/executive level
• Ability to translate complex technology concepts into actionable business solutions
