HGV Mechanic
Preston
£40,000 – £50,000
Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm. Occasional Saturday morning. Overtime at time ½About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our growing team in Preston. This is a hands-on role working within a busy workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a large and varied fleet of vehicles.
You’ll be joining a close-knit workshop team and play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and fleet vehicles
- Conduct MOT preparation and inspections
- Diagnose faults and complete necessary mechanical work
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop practices
- Work across a variety of vehicles including HGV, LCV, Skip wagons and Trailers
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Experience working with commercial vehicles and trailers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
