Façade Designer
Location: London (within 1 hour commute)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Package (DOE)

The Opportunity
This is a unique and career-defining role for a Façade Engineer or Senior Façade Engineer to work directly alongside the future Director, helping to grow and shape the business.
With the current owner planning a gradual retirement over the next 3-4 years, this role offers:

The Role
You will play a key role across both façade design and investigative consultancy projects, including:
Design Responsibilities
- Provide conceptual advice on façade system selection and suitability
- Develop façade performance specifications and drawings
- Carry out thermal, acoustic, solar and embodied carbon assessments
- Undertake structural calculations for frames and glazing systems
- Coordinate façade design with fire, security and other disciplines
- Support tender-stage documentation and Employer’s Requirements
Consultancy / Survey Responsibilities
- Assist with façade inspections and condition surveys
- Support defect investigations and forensic analysis
- Contribute to remedial design and refurbishment strategies
About You
- Minimum 6+ years façade design experience
- Background working for a façade consultancy or specialist contractor
- Strong technical understanding of façade systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Interest in developing broader consultancy and survey experience
Desirable:
- Previous experience of survey work is desirable but not essential as guidance will be provided
- Interest in business development and client engagement
