My client is a well-established Mobile Elevating Work Platform manufacturer and one of the largest in Europe which supplies worldwide. They use state of the art software with vigorous testing to ensure that the best products are produced. Due to continued growth and work load they are looking for a Supplier Technical Assistant Engineer to join them.
Title – Supplier Quality Assistant Engineer
Location – Milton Keynes
Salary - £35,000 - £42,000 plus additional package.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Guiding and supporting the planning, monitoring and controlling of the suppliers’ manufacturers process.
- Act as a key trouble shooter within the supply base.
- Train suppliers to improve aspects of their business performance.
- Improve suppliers’ performance levels by using LEAN improvement tools.
- Provide data and analysis for management regarding suppliers’ performance.
- Ensure that Quality Assured parts are delivered from external suppliers to specification and on time within budget.
- Work with internal departments to prioritise product quality improvement procedures and needs.
- Manage and develop poor performing suppliers.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Engineering / manufacturing knowledge.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics and Electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supplier facing Quality Engineering Role.
- Understanding of jig/fixtures design.
- The ability to manage a portfolio of suppliers effectively with confidence.
- Able to interpret 3D CAD models and drawings.
- Good time management.
- Full UK driving license.
- No restrictions for European travel.
- Understanding of Project Management tools and techniques.
- Strong IT skills.
