My client is a well-established Mobile Elevating Work Platform manufacturer and one of the largest in Europe which supplies worldwide. They use state of the art software with vigorous testing to ensure that the best products are produced. Due to continued growth and work load they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join them.

Title – Quality Engineer
Location – Milton Keynes
Salary - £13.28 per hour working 40 hours per week. Over time paid at 1.5 & 2.0. Plus additional package.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Guiding and supporting the planning, monitoring and controlling of the suppliers’ manufacturers process.
• Act as a key trouble shooter within the supply base.
• Train suppliers to improve aspects of their business performance.
• Improve suppliers’ performance levels by using LEAN improvement tools.
• Provide data and analysis for management regarding suppliers’ performance.
• Ensure that Quality Assured parts are delivered from external suppliers to specification and on time within budget.
• Work with internal departments to prioritise product quality improvement procedures and needs.
• Manage and develop poor performing suppliers.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

• Experience in engineering / manufacturing procedures.
• An understanding of Hydraulics, mechanical, electrical and structural fabrication/welding.
• Good organisation skills.
• Accredited Inspector qualifications.
• Able to use measuring equipment and read/interpret engineering drawings.
• Computer literate with a a good understanding of Microsoft office.
• Experience of manufacturing systems including SAP.
