My client is part of a large globally known manufacturer and have been producing fluid power and electronic products for over 25 years to various industries including marine, gas, construction and many more. Due to exciting growth periods and demands they are now looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North of the UK and promote their products. This Area Sales Managers role is for an experienced sales person with strong knowledge of Hydraulic and Electronic products, who is driven to grow an area by establishing strong relationships with new clients whilst maintaining productive relationships with existing clients.

North UK
£40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) – Company car, mobile, laptop, bonus, pension and private medical.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Seek new business opportunities.
- Source and develop new business opportunities.
- Secure long-standing relationships with new and existing clients.
- Providing technical support to internal colleagues.
- Participate in relevant exhibitions when required.
- Liaise with accounts department to determine potential new clients credit suitability.
- Keep Sales Managers and Directors informed of workload and work progress.
- Develop and maintain existing accounts.
- Plan client visits, maintaining strong relationships throughout long term projects.
- Get an understanding of the company’s products and develop your knowledge to assist in promoting them.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office Software.
- Sound Technical knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical products including valves, solenoids, manifolds and Hydraulic/electronic accessories.
- Industrial knowledge / experience working within Offshore, Gas, Hydraulics, Construction and Marine sectors.
- Strong understanding of electronic control systems
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong Fluid Power knowledge.
- Experience of closing and negotiation techniques.
- Be able to plan and manage time to maximise workload.
