Mechanical Fitter
Location: UK Wide
£28,000 - £30,000 plus company van, fuel card, door to door travel, overtime, mobile phone, laptop, PPE, electric tools, company pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days
I am currently working with a leading wastewater treatment company who are well known for their excellent reputation and exceptional customer service.
Based in the Midlands they have been established for a number of years and are a medium sized company with plans for growth.
Due to continued success, they are looking for an additional Supervisor Fitter to join their growing and professional team.
Summary of the role:
Provide service and work supervision, complete plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, operator training and warranty commitments at customers operational and construction sites and within a factory assembly premises as required.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Plan and supervise the work assigned
- Support schedule and emergency call outs to clients
- Produce written documentation of all activities
- Building, installing, maintaining, refurbishing specialised and non-specialised equipment (sewage equipment)
- Works towards solutions to mechanical engineering problems to enable improvements to quality, safety and speed of manufacture and assembly
- Fault finding
- Liaise with the customer at site and make sure work is undertaken and completed to the satisfaction of the customer
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications/extensive knowledge
- Ideally hold water industry experience but not essential
- Background with heavy plant machinery/construction sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Holding CSCS, confined space, SSSTS, lift supervisor and PASMA would be a distinct advantage
This position will see you working away 4 nights a week, therefore you NEED to be flexible on travelling and staying away from home.
