Are you an experienced Operations Manager with experience of capital equipment? If so, then this is the role for you. Our client based in South Wales is looking for an ambitious and technically minded Operations Manager to join their team in a long-term capacity.
Duties of the role will include
- Managing a team across service & production
- Maintaining & monitoring quality standards
- Providing reports to the board of Director’s upon request
- Liaising between multiple departments and providing solutions to issues
- Responsible for health & safety standards within the company’s operations
- Ensuring work through production & service is being completed on time & efficiently
- Asset management
- Build and maintain team morale
- Monitor performance levels and provide support for employee’s
- Approval of continuous improvements opportunities within operational processes
- Ensure training records and competency frameworks are maintained
Skills & Attributes Required
- Very trustworthy & honest
- Relationship builder with high level of one to one management skills
- Capable of reading engineering drawings
- Strong planning & organisational skills
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, or another relevant field.
- 5+ years of work experience within an engineering production environment.
- Lean six sigma (black belt preferred)
- LEAN Manufacturing
- Kaizen continuous improvement (preferred)
- Familiarisation with ISO 9001
- Familiarisation with Health and Safety Management systems
