Senior Lighting Designer
London£38,000 – £50,000 basic salary
Generous commission scheme, Cycle to work scheme and 23 days holiday excluding bank holidays
My client is an up and coming, award winning lighting design consultancy with offices in the Heart of London and Dubai. Their impressive portfolio covers an international client-base encompassing hospitality, residential and retail-based projects. Notably they have designed lighting schemes and bespoke fittings for Michelin star restaurants, prestigious Mayfair hotels and prime hospitality locations within the Shard. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior lighting designer to join a team of creative, ambitious, and progressive individuals in their independent London studio.
The Role:
- Reporting to the Associate Director and Director you will produce concept presentations, specifications, control strategies, layout drawings and switching arrangements.
- You will perform consultations with clients to develop a brief bespoke to their requirements and deliver innovative lighting solutions from project inception to completion.
- As a senior lighting designer, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 from the initial brief to the completion of projects.
- You will travel internationally overseeing projects in locations within Europe, the Caribbean and Dubai when deemed to add value to the project.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience working in an independent lighting design studio or consultancy.
- Experience completing hospitality-based lighting design projects.
- Applicants must be skilled in the following lighting design software suites; AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and DIAlux.
- Experience using BIM/Revit and 3D visualisation technologies is also preferred, but not essential.
- Ideally, you will have a portfolio of projects and prospective clients that will add value to the business.
- The right to work in the UK.
