A brilliant opportunity has come up to work with a fantastic, corrugated packaging company that works in the following industries: Retail, FMCG, industrial, engineering and much more. The company has been running for 50+ years as a manufacturer and are now seeking a Business Development Manager who is looking to further their career and help with the continuous growth of the company.
Business Development Manager
Location - Newport
£45,000 to £50,000 DOE
Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with a Hybrid car or car allowance, 20% bonus scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank, Life Insurance, Pension, laptop, and phone. There is also a strong career path within the business.
Your day-to-day duties will be based around developing long terms relationships with clients, account management, business development and ensuring all KPI’s are met. Your role includes dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation. You will play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the image of the company and you will continue with the improvement of the initiatives of the company.
The requirements:
- Ideally you will have at least 1-4 years’ worth of experience in the following packaging disciplines: Corrugated, Cartons, Postal, Bags, Tubing, Tapes, Stretch Wrap, Labelling, plastic and much more.
- Have a great understanding of the UK market.
- You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes.
- A sense of business relationships and customer service.
- Must be able to build new relationships, develop lapsed accounts and nurture all accounts given and gained.
- High interest in the technical dimension of the products.
