Working hours – 7.30am to 4.30pm

The role:
Our Client are currently recruiting for the position of Driver to join our dynamic and fast-paced business which has experienced substantial growth in the last few years having built strong relationships with leading construction firms, architects, developers and electrical subcontractors.
ResponsibilitiesPreparing the vehicle by conducting operator checks and maintenance.
Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Transport Manager.
Supervising or helping to load and unload goods.
Making sure loads are safely secured.
Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary.
Completing delivery paperwork and log books.
Routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks before and after journeys.
Excellent driving skills.
The ability to work alone and concentrate for long periods.
A good understanding of Driver’s Hour and regulations.
A polite and professional manner.
A good understanding of safety, on the road and when loading and unloading.
The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately.
A reasonable level of fitness.
Be trustworthy and reliable.
Qualifications & Skills
Must be 18 year old or over.
Previous experience is essential.
Good safety practices and driving habits.
Full and clean driving license.
