Applications Manager

£40,000 - £45,000 + £5,000 estimated commission bonus + hybrid company vehicle _+mobile phone + laptop + company credit card + contributory pension scheme + private medical insurance + 25 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays.

My client is an established British Machine Tools Manufacturer providing a vast portfolio of machining solutions. They are preparing for the exciting launch of 3 new products designed by their UK team to the market and are looking to recruit a talented Applications Engineer looking to take their next steps with an ambitious and growing organisation.

The Role:

• The successful candidate will become a specialist in the three new products launching on the market.
• You will manage the Applications team and lead the training of the customer’s staff.
• You will provide a high level of technical support to the sales team through demonstrations, machine setting and programming in order to meet the client’s requirements and component cycle time calculation.
• You will prepare and prove machining methods and programs designed to provide solutions.
• You will calculate the shortest possible times and liaise directly with the customer.
• Visit customers experiencing any difficulties with the operations of the machines.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have knowledge of Fanuc Controls.
• Will have a solid track record of working with 2 -5 axis milling machines.
• Will have excellent communication skills to train their client base.
