My client is a UK leading provider of Hydraulic Systems. With a proven track record of using quality brands and providing outstanding engineering services they are looking to now complete their engineering team. Due to growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Service Engineer. You will have a strong hydraulic and systems engineering background with the ability to work across a wide range of industries in the UK.
Service Engineer
Location: Wakefield
£15.36 per hour, OT paid, 4% pension, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and vehicle.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Visiting sites and identifying the issue then repairing in a timely, professional manner.
- Increasing customer portfolio where possible.
- Hydraulic Power Unit and systems assembly.
- Maintaining your mobile workshop is kept stocked.
- In house hydraulic repairs of components including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and valves.
- Hydraulic pipework manufacturing, assembly, and installation.
- Attend site and perform required services, repairs and maintenance based on fault finding.
- Support the management of Key clients’ accounts. Advising on upgrades and replacements when required.
- Completing all the relevant documentation.
- Completing all work following company HSE guidelines, ensuring work is always complete in a safe environment.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Must have a good level of Hydraulic knowledge.
- A knowledge of general fabrication (TIG and MIG) would be advantageous.
- Experience of working within a hydraulic installation environment.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals including – hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves and cylinders.
- Positive “Can do” attitude with first class customer service skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to prioritise work load when working independently.
- Full understanding of HSE.
- A desire to learn.
- Able to interpret hydraulic schematic drawings.
- Hydraulic knowledge inclusive of parts, materials, and equipment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
