Area Sales Manager
South East - Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, West & East Sussex, Kent, and the Isle of Wight
£45,000 - £55,000 basic salary + OTE + Company car scheme or allowance (new car every 4 years) + company pension contribution 5% + private health care + death in service x3 + 0.5% commission on every machine sold + performance based quarterly bonus + annual bonus.
My client is a market leading sole supplier of a global leader’s high end machining tools within the UK undergoing an exciting period of growth looking to add to their area sales team of high achievers on the South Coast.
For the right candidate there is also fantastic progression opportunities available up to divisional manager and board level as the company are committed to promoting from within.
This is a fantastic opportunity for applications engineer, sales engineer, or area sales manager with a machine tool engineering background to work for a company that will continuously invest in their training and development.
The Role:
- Reporting to the divisional sales manager you will manage your own diary whilst working remotely to cover the Area Territory ranging from the Northeast to Scotland.
- In your first year you will be targeted to achieve £1 million + and will receive 0.5% commission on every machine sold.
- You will receive in house and international training at the principles.
- You will attend exhibitions in national and international locations to promote the machine tools to new businesses.
- You will book client visits and build new business relationships selling turnkey solutions.
- You will expand the profitability of existing accounts by building lasting relationships with customers and consultatively selling the machining solutions.
Requirements:
- CNC Applications engineering backgrounds are highly desirable, but similar technical machine tool backgrounds will be considered as a solid engineering understanding is key to succeeding within this role.
- This role is ideally suited to someone who prefers a project-based sales cycle as the AOV is around £400,000, but it can vary from £90,000 - £2 million.
- A track record of success within machine tool sales would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CNC machine tools and turnkey solutions.
- A full, clean driving license
- The right to work in the UK.
