Project Engineer
Location: West Bromwich
£35,000 - £40,000 plus car allowance, private pension, employee assistance program and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days
We are a leading wastewater treatment company who are well known for our excellent reputation and exceptional customer service.
Based in the Midlands we have been established for a number of years and are a medium sized company with plans for growth.
Due to continued success, we are looking for an additional Project Engineer to join our growing and professional team.
Purpose of the role:
Responsible for the technical and commercial aspects of a number of contracts. You will serve as the main project contact for customers and other departments and will ensure that contract requirements are scheduled and successfully completed. Also to complete assigned tasks under general direction of the Project Manager.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Review all applicable job data, including PO’s, project plans, specs and providing comments where applicable
- Scheduling and conducting project review meetings, focusing on the scope of supply, cost, construction and project scheduling
- Advising the Project Manager of project status while adhering to all appropriate policies and established safety procedures
- Oversee the timely submission of all applications for payment, invoices, approve on submission, support debt collection and related bank guarantee submission and collection
- Maintain contact with the customer, advising of progress, responding to correspondence and any queries relating to the contract
- Attend contractual meetings with the customer as necessary, both in the UK and Ireland if required
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- HNC or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Water industry experience would be a distinct advantage but not essential but would consider a good Mechanical background
- Good knowledge of EPC contracts – more specifically NEC contracts
- Full UK driving licence
- Based within a commutable distance of West Bromwich
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project and other MS Office programs
