The Company
My client is a Systems integrator of full production lines related to the food industry, employing 900 people worldwide & turning over £3 billion in 2023. The company provide bespoke systems that package up products in various food & non food environments.
The Role
- Mechanical design of bespoke capital equipment/packaging machinery
- Using Solidworks/AutoCAD
- Dealing with specification drawings
- Working on projects up to £1m in value
- Managing multiple projects at once
- Working to tight deadlines
- Projects lengths could be 2-3 months
- Build strong relationships with the Project Management team.
- Dealing with customers on technical issues & challenges
- Visit potential customers
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and within deadlines
Skills & attributes
- Experience of AutoCAD, Solidworks
- Methodical approach
- Good relationship builder
- Problem solver
- Experience of sheet metal design, pneumatics & drives
- Background of Mechanical design of bespoke machines/capital equipment/packaging machinery/conveyors
Qualifications
- Mechanical engineer qualification preferably HNC/HND
- 3-5 years industrial machinery experience
