A brilliant opportunity has come up to work with a world-renowned corrugated packaging company that has 27 sites across Europe/UK and works in the E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, Industrial, Automotive markets. The company has been run for 3 generations of family and is a leading manufacturer for 50+ years. They are now seeking a Business Development Manager who is looking to further their career and help with the continuous growth of the company.

Your day-to-day duties will be based around business development creating new opportunities for the company to increase their clientele.  Your role includes dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation, and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation. You will play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the image of the company and you will continue with the improvement of the initiatives of the company.

They are looking to recruit the successful candidate immediately; however, you must have or hold:

• 1-3 years+ in a Business Development type role. Ideally with a packaging background.

• Have a good understanding of the UK market although it can be taught in another industry.
• You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes within the packaging industry.
• Must be comfortable working from home, on the road and in the office.
• A sense of business relationships and customer service.
• High interest in the technical dimension of the products.
• You must come from a packaging background and have experience in sales.

Note – There will be no specific numerical target for your first 6-12 months.
