My client is a well established medium sized manufacturer of motors, transmission, and controls. Established over 25 years ago my client are a forward-thinking company continuously adapting to meet the demands of their customers. Due to their extensive growth and their ability to supply across a few sectors they are looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer to their team. This role will be a fantastic fit for someone coming from an Electro-mechanical background who is a keen salesperson with a drive to be part of a successful project-based sales team.

Technical Sales Engineer
Crewkerne, Somerset
£28,000 - £60,000 basic (DOE), life insurance, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, mileage allowance, a clear career plan, pension, and possible relocation assistance for the right person.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Developing new business opportunities.
• Presenting technical information and detailed schematics of products to clients.
• Sourcing leads and contacting potential clients.
• Maintain up to date industry knowledge.
• Arrange follow up meeting to maintain relationships with clients.
• Provide detailed specific information to show customers why a product will be a benefit.
• Answer clients’ technical issues.
• Planning and preparing for client and internal meetings.
• Act as a point of contact for clients.
• Work closely with various internal departments.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

• Educated to degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering sector.
• Minimum 2 years technical selling experience.
• Proven track record of working with OEMs in a technical sales capacity.
• An understanding of applications and the ability to manage projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated to be a success.
• Fluent in any other language, written and verbally is beneficial.
• Good organisational skills.
