Laser Field Service Engineer

Commutable distance to Worcester

£30,000 - £40,000 (40 Hour working week ) + O/T+ VW transporter van + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + company credit card + Contributory pension scheme + Full tool set + IT equiptment + Uniform + full training in house and by the manufacturer.

My client are a reputable sales and service provider of the leading brand in sheet metal equipment. The company is witnessing steady growth and are now looking to add another specialist laser field service engineer to their dynamic team in Worcester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a laser field service engineer to progress within a reputable company and benefit from their exceptional training programme within a supportive environment.

The Role:

• You will provide breakdown cover for their growing client base.
• You will install and commission laser cutting, punching and press brake equipment from a market leading manufacturer.
• When required you will work from the Worcester facility to fit and test the machines that they are refurbishing for re-sale.
• Weekend work is not required unless it is at the employee’s discretion
• You will become part of a close knit team and contribute to their fantastic work culture.

Requirements:

• PLC and mechanical experience
• Understanding of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Fault finding skills, schematic understanding.
• Experience on laser cutting/ punching or bending equiptment is desired but not essential.
• Ability to work unsupervised
• An excellent service demeanour
• You must be within a commutable distance to Worcester office.
