Night shift - Skilled CNC Millers wanted (10pm - 7:30am) Mon - Thurs (4 day week) Simonstone.
£13.61 - £17.06 per hour DOE + £4.44 night shift allowance

They are now looking to take on multiple skilled time served cnc millers to add to their growing team on the night shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled miller to work with a vast range of highly technical machine tools to manufacture components within tight tolerances. My client have a strong reputation for rewarding hard work and providing fantastic internal and external training sessions to develop you professionally.
The role:
- You will operate a range of Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Okuma and Mazak vertical milling machines, horizontal machining centres.
- You will set up the tools and load the materials onto the cnc machines then carry out the machining of components.
- You will need to measure the components produced on machines using inspection equipment to ensure that they are manufactured to drawing dimensions and tolerances
- You will need to read and interpret the work from engineering drawings
- Manual handling of weights up to 25kg is also required.
- You will also contribute to the continuous improvement and complete quality documentation.
- You will also learn theory.
- Observing and practicing the 5S principles whilst maintaining a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures
- Contribute positively within the team.
- Requirements:
- You must be a time served engineer.
- Experience with stainless steels and machine programming using Fanuc Okuma and Mazak CNC controls.
- Skilled in the setting up, operation, and adjustment of tool and fixture offsets preferred.
- Must have experience working within tight tolerances.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and understand quality plans.
- Knowledge of machining stainless steels into billet castings and pressings would be highly advantageous.
- Prior experience working with Mori Seiki, Okuma, Mazak, and Nakamura machines favourable.
- Full clean driving license
