Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: South UK – M4 Corridor
Industry: End of Line Packaging Machines
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Holidays: 22 days of annual leave

Company Overview:
The client is a German Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in glue applications for end-of-line packaging. They have a UK turnover of £6 million and employ 10 staff. The company operates in multiple countries and has a global presence.
Role:
- Sales Engineer responsible for selling capital equipment.
- Target industries include packaging, food, and pharmaceutical.
- Specific focus on corrugated materials, folding cartons, and print finishing.
- A mix of new business acquisition and account management (50/50 split).
- Identify opportunities for increased revenue through machinery sales and consumables.
- Managing accounts in the South of the UK.
- Achieving a sales target of £500,000 to £600,000 within the territorial area.
- Developing and building strong rapport with customer companies.
- Engaging with department heads, including managing directors, during the sales process.
Experience Needed:
- A preferred background in engineering.
- Experience in selling capital equipment, with a preference for knowledge of food processing and packaging machinery.
- Previous experience in selling into the food and pharmaceutical industries.
- Open to candidates who have sold capital equipment internally and are looking to transition into an external sales role.
