Technical Support Engineer

Fire and Security

Stoke-On-Trent

£19,000 - £24,000 DOE.

Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm/9am – 5pm.

Health insurance, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, progression and training opportunities, overtime.

I am looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer for a permanent position in the Stoke-On-Trent area.

 

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, successful, award winning Fire and Security and Telecommunications company, who have a strong reputation within the local economy as a market leader. Established circa 16 years, we are looking for an individual who has a get up and go, positive attitude and somebody who is looking to grow and progress with the company.

 

The right person for this role with have experience within a customer service, technical role and be able to pick up new systems quickly.

 

We are ideally looking for somebody with basic knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarms, or somebody who has previous experience in a customer service, customer focused role.

The main responsibility for the role is to support clients with technical advise, resolving technical issues and supporting service engineers.

The role:


  • Provide technical support to clients and engineers on fire and security systems.
  • Understand specific needs of the clients and offer expert guidance.
  • Assess and diagnose any technical issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Develop and deliver the correct training documents to clients on the correct use, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire and security systems.
  • Maintaining detailed records of service requests, technical issues and resolutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and building long standing relationships with clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of fire and security, previous experience in a similar role and be IT literate.
