My client is a UK leading provider of Hydraulic Systems, power units and a distributor of components. With a proven track record of using quality brands and providing outstanding engineering services they are looking to now add to their Design team. Due to growth, they are looking for a Junior Hydraulic Design Engineer. This role requires you to have experience or knowledge of industrial/hydraulic engineering. Being part of the design team is a huge part of my clients business.
Junior Hydraulic Design Engineer
Location: Wakefield – With flexibility of Hybrid for the right candidate.
£28,000 - £33,000 (DOE), Monday – Friday, company pension, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, extensive employee benefits package, free onsite parking and career progression support through training and certification.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Attend and support client meetings, working closely with various departments.
- Act as an internal liaison between various departments providing technical support.
- Assist in the development of costing estimates and quotations for hydraulic product enquiries.
- Work with client specifications from initial design stage to manufacturing, installation and presentation.
- Liaising with sales and production team to produce hydraulic systems.
- Assist with the creation of “Bill of Materials” by taking specifications.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Currently studying towards Degree/HND qualification.
- Experience using Auto CAD – 3D Software.
- Experience of complex technical/engineering drawings (2D & 3D).
- Knowledge of drawings – both assembly and configuration.
- Experience working within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals for pumps, valves, actuators including their engineering principles – constraints, tolerances, materials.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
