Position: Sales Engineer
Location: North
Industry: Packaging Machines (OEM)/ Capital Equipment/ Product Inspection/Checkweigh
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum,
Commission structure: £25,000 to £30,000. The annual sales target is £1 million.
Holidays: 25 days of annual leave.

Company Overview:
The company is a manufacturer of Checkweigher, X-ray, vision inspection, and track & trace machines for various industries, including Food, Pharma, Bakery, and Dairy. They are part of a larger packaging subsidiary that has a significant global presence, employing thousands of people worldwide.
Role:
- Sales involve business-to-business transactions.
- Selling checkweigher, Metal detection & other product inspection machines
- Generating leads for prospective clients.
- Engaging in solution-based selling of capital equipment.
- Managing a high workload and being target-driven.
- A preference for a background in engineering.
- Selling technical bespoke capital equipment
- Capable of negotiation during the sales process.
- Suitable for individuals looking to transition into an external sales role.
- A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with machinery sales is preferred.
- A consultative selling approach with an understanding of the food industry.
- The role involves selling bespoke capital equipment to blue-chip Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the food and pharma industries.
- Conducting technical consultative conversations with potential customers.
- Managing key accounts and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A preference for an engineering qualification, whether in electrical or mechanical fields.
- Experience with any capital equipment/tooling/components is essential
- Experience of technical solution sales
- Familiarity with packaging machinery is desirable.
- Would consider someone who has direct experience with product inspection machines that has an interest in transferring into sales from a maintenance/projects/service role
