About the client:

My client is a very well-established Machine Tool OEM that has grown from a small family run organisation to now employing thousands of engineers worldwide. Last year they turned over just under 2 billion euros, and the money is continuously reinvested in the company and producing innovative and exceptional quality machine tools.

Despite their impressive growth they still maintain the ethos that every single member of staff counts! They are looking for a multi-skilled service engineer to join their growing team and cover their client base in Northern and Southern Ireland. With the majority of their key projects being based in the Belfast region.

The successful candidate will receive industry leading training for 3 months in an international location with their parent company and once successfully trained the progression opportunities are endless. As the key point of contact in Ireland once they have hit the ground running there will be the opportunity to grow out their own team.

The Role:

  • Initially you will undergo 3 months training at an international location with the parent company, then you will be shadowing an engineer until you are ready to hit the ground running in your territory.
  • The main responsibility within the role will be providing breakdown cover to their growing client base in Northern and Southern Ireland.
  • The company offers weekly service contracts to their clients so providing a high level of customer service is key.
  • When required you will be involved in completing installations to a high standard.
  • You will be working with a range of 3-5 axis machining centres and using Siemens, Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
  • Flexibility for overnight stays is essential within this role as successful candidates will be away from their territory for training a lot within the first year.

Requirements:

  • Machine Tool CNC experience is essential.
  • Multi-skilled engineers are preferred but solely mechanical or electrical engineers may apply
  • Experience with Siemens 840D and S7, Profibus and Heidenhain is highly desirable.
  • Candidates must be able to read hydraulic, and electrical plans.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and Ireland
  • Valid Passport and driving license required.
