Business Development Manager (BDM) (HVAC) – North East AND Scotland
Location: South East
£44,000 - £50,000 OTE £70,000 plus Car allowance or Co car, Heath care, iPhone, Laptop
25 days holiday plus BH, pension.
Due to our huge growth plans for 2024, we are looking to expand our sales team throughout the UK. We have been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years, and have grown from strength to strength, and are now looking to expand further. As specialists in selling Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps to contractors, consultants, amongst others, we take great pride in giving the best possible service from start to finish, seeing out projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are kept within. In the past few years, a real emphasis has been put on renewables, and making our projects as energy efficient as possible. We are also in the top 300 for the Global fortune 500 list.
The Role:
- Mostly selling and quoting for Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps and others.
- The role is 90% selling and 10% account managing at times.
- Managing and maintaining existing customers – going through their existing database / CRM, winning back business.
- Working out how to extend the equipment’s life span.
- Site visits to clients
- liaising with other teams, i.e. sales support, tech team.
Skills and Experience:
- Must be a proven salesperson, within the HVAC industry – with figures to show this ideally.
- A good understanding of larger chillers, AHU’s and AC systems and cooling towers
- Experienced with selling into Contractors.
- Able to spec out appropriate equipment to order.
- A good level of technical knowledge on the above systems.
- Working towards KPI’s
- Confident doing site visits and the ability to do presentations to clients, and if needed the management team.
- Being able to do efficient reports for management.
- Good all-around IT skills.
