Job Title: Technical Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Location: Birmingham

Overtime: Paid after 38 hours (Time & a half)

On-Target Earnings (OTE): £50,000

Our client is a leading provider of packaging automation equipment, serving a variety of industries. Their expertise lies in manufacturing check-weighers, vision inspection, and X-ray systems.

The Role:

As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Electrical Expertise: Understanding and interpreting electrical diagrams.

Wiring: Connecting to control panels, including machines wired into 240V and some 3-phase electrical systems.

Commissioning & Service: Handling the commissioning of new machinery, as well as breakdowns, service, installation, and PPM.

HMI Interaction: Working with inputs/outputs and changing IO cards.

Diagnostics: Utilizing your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Travel: Covering large territories with the company vehicle provided.

Proactive Approach: Being a technical, proactive engineer who is comfortable working overtime.

Qualifications:

Certification: City & Guilds qualification or substantial experience in a relevant field is required.
