Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Home Counties (Flexible working with regional travel)
Salary & Package: £40,000 - £55,000 plus car allowance, mileage, commission, phone, laptop, pension and 28 days holiday inclusive of statutory days
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven background in water hygiene solutions to join our team. This role is ideally suited for candidates with experience in the healthcare and care home sectors, who are passionate about promoting safe water hygiene practices to protect vulnerable populations. Based in the Home Counties, you'll manage and grow a territory by fostering strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that align with our clients' safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow sales of water hygiene services and solutions, particularly within healthcare facilities, care homes, and similar environments in the Home Counties.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare and care home organisations, understanding their specific water hygiene needs.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives through proactive client engagement and effective sales management.
- Leverage industry knowledge to present and consult on our portfolio of water hygiene solutions, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Work closely with operations, technical, and marketing teams to ensure client needs are met, projects are executed smoothly, and the brand's value is maximized.
- Maintain up-to-date records of activities, pipelines, and sales performance, using CRM tools to provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years in business development, sales, or account management within water hygiene, water treatment, or environmental compliance sectors.
- Proven experience working with or selling into healthcare facilities and care homes, with a deep understanding of their regulatory environment and operational needs.
- Familiarity with water hygiene standards and compliance requirements, including Legionella management and other relevant health regulations.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, with a proactive approach to identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
