Mobile Plant Fitter

£40,000 basic salary
Van, phone, 22 days holidays plus banks, holiday increase scheme, overtimeOverview:We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Birmingham. The successful candidate will have experience working on a range of plant machinery and be well-versed in diesel engines and hydraulics. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 basic, plus bonus, van, phone, and 22 days holiday plus banks, with the potential to increase to 25 days. Working hours are 7:30am-5pm, with paid overtime options available at time and a half.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant machinery
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and inspections
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulics
- Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship
- Full UK driving license
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Day-to-day:As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for traveling to different sites to carry out maintenance and repairs on a range of plant machinery. This will involve diagnosing issues, conducting servicing, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard. You will also be required to communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
