Lighting Designer - Architectural Lighting
Location: Guildford | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits
A leading architectural lighting design studio is currently seeking a talented Lighting Designer to join their growing team. I'm recruiting on behalf of this confidential client - an award-winning, design-led consultancy known for delivering creative and technically sophisticated lighting solutions across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, hospitality, residential, and public realm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a strong creative eye and solid technical skills to work on high-profile projects in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop lighting concepts and detailed design proposals from initial brief through to completion
- Produce technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and lighting calculations
- Prepare presentations, mood boards, and visualisations for client review
- Liaise with architects, interior designers, and engineers throughout the design process
- Attend site visits and support project delivery on-site when required
Requirements:
- 2-5 years' experience in architectural lighting design
- Strong design portfolio showcasing both creative and technical work
- Proficient in relevant software: AutoCAD, DIALux/Relux, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of lighting standards, controls, and sustainable design best practice
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
