My client is one of the UKs leading manufacturers within the hydraulic sector of hydraulic components and systems. With over 25 years of trading within the industry, they have established themselves as one of the leading manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of hydraulic equipment/systems across the UK. Due to an exciting period, they are now looking to as a Hydraulic Sales Engineer to their sales team to assist with the continued growth of the business by promoting their products and systems.
Hydraulic Sales Engineer
Shropshire
£32,000 - £40,000 (DOE) plus annual bonus, car, medical insurance, life insurance, company pension, mobile phone and required devices to work from home.
Working hours Monday – Friday, based on 40 hours.
The Role
- Managing and developing an assigned customer base throughout the UK.
- Visiting existing customers to increase turnover and strengthen relationships.
- Identifying and acquiring new customers to grow our market presence.
- Working closely with the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure sales opportunities are maximised.
- Organising and managing your own customer visit schedule and travel routes.
- Generating enquiries and orders, feeding back to the internal sales team for processing.
- Following up all sales leads in a timely and effective manner.
- Preparing visit reports and providing daily feedback to management.
- Attending trade exhibitions and events (occasional weekends required).
Requirements
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years of experience in hydraulic product sales.
- Has on-the-road sales experience with a proven track record of success.
- Possesses in-depth technical knowledge of hydraulic products, including pumps, valves, cylinders, powerpacks, and filtration.
- Holds a valid UK driving licence.
- Is willing and able to travel extensively and stay away from home as required.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
- Is self-motivated, target-driven, and eager to contribute to the growth of the business.
