Project Manager
Location: Remote
£50,000 - £60,000 plus car allowance, life assurance, private pension, mobile phone, laptop and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Project Manager to join our Engineering Project Support Services team. This is a critical role responsible for managing customer orders (projects) from initiation to close-out, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and meets all quality standards.
You’ll work across supply chain, engineering, and production departments, as well as liaise directly with clients, helping to build strong relationships and protect us from financial and operational risks. Key Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and adapt project plans in line with cost and time requirements.
- Oversee daily operations of assigned projects and coordinate with supply chain, factory production, and sub-vendors.
- Review and confirm deliverables before submission to clients.
- Communicate project-specific quality requirements to all stakeholders.
- Track documentation, generate status updates, and support project close-out reviews.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing; follow up on receivables.
- Minimise project risk and manage contracts, milestones, and billing procedures.
- Identify opportunities for add-on sales and additional value to the client.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Chair project meetings and ensure effective internal and external communication.
- Provide support for site servicing operations, ensuring smooth coordination with the internal customer service team.
About You:
- Prior experience in project management or a technical engineering background with interest in transitioning into project leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word); Adobe Acrobat skills are a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Experience or understanding of mechanical fire systems or fluid based systems is a distinct advantage.
