Take Your Career to the Next Level with a Company That’s Protecting People, Property—and the Planet.

Are you a fire alarm commissioning expert ready to step into a more senior, impactful role? Are you driven by high standards, innovative technology, and the chance to be part of a company that’s raising the bar in both safety and sustainability?

This is your opportunity to become part of a leading independent fire and security solutions provider with a proud reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and environmental responsibility. With a national footprint and a mission to create safer, more sustainable spaces, this company offers you more than just a job—it’s a place to thrive.

Your Role:

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a critical role in delivering fire detection and suppression systems to the highest standards. From advanced configuration to flawless handovers, you’ll lead commissioning processes that not only meet expectations—but exceed them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission addressable, conventional, and gaseous fire alarm systems in full alignment with BS5839-1.
  • Configure, test, and document complex Cause & Effect programming and integrations, including graphical interfaces.
  • Work with industry-leading systems including Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, Siemens, Gent, and EST.
  • Partner with project managers and installation teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery of projects.
  • Lead on-site handovers, client training, consultant witness tests, and sign-offs.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges, identify risks, and ensure smooth resolution.
  • Maintain detailed commissioning documentation and compliance certifications.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience with a professional, proactive approach.

 What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience commissioning fire detection systems.
  • FIA Modules 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent up-to-date certifications).
  • Solid track record with leading fire alarm technologies.
  • Strong analytical and fault-finding skills.
  • Confident interpreting and working from technical drawings and specs.
  • IT literate with knowledge of networked and integrated systems.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn’t just another senior engineer role. You’ll be joining a values-driven company with a strong environmental ethos—the first in its industry to be certified carbon neutral in the UK. The company is serious about its mission, its people, and its responsibility to the planet. And it shows in how they treat their team.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

  • A career with purpose in a growing, mission-led business
  • Training and development tailored to your ambitions
  • Routes to progress into leadership or specialist technical roles
  • An inclusive culture where your voice is heard and valued
  • Competitive salary and great benefits
  • Generous leave entitlement
  • Company pension
  • Medicash health plan (helping with everyday healthcare costs)
  • Wellbeing support, including mental health resources
  • Employee discounts and referral incentives
