Position: Maintenance Mate/Assistant
Location: Burnley
Salary/Package: £25,395.00 - £27,000 (DOE), Van/Fuel Card, PPE/Tools, Death in Service, 32 days holiday inc banks.

A fast-growing building and facilities maintenance contractor, located in the Preston area. Providing electrical, mechanical, and building services to commercial and public sector clients across the UK, with a strong reputation in the Mental Health/Healthcare sector.
Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Mate/ Labourer to work alongside a team of numerous trades such as plumbers, gas engineers, electrical engineers and air conditioning engineers.
This mate will be supporting the engineers on site with any of their needs, this could include running with materials to engineers on site, supporting engineers with installations as well as lots of other duties.

Responsibilities you may assist or do
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of facilities in a variety of commercial and health services such as Mental health care sites.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Respond to maintenance requests from various departments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
You must have or hold
- Must be willing to do messy jobs if needed
- Understanding of health and safety requirements
- Experience using tools would be an advantage
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Happy to support other engineers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
