Are you a skilled tools fitter with a passion for machinery and a desire to grow your career? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and develop into a plant fitter role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in small diesel machines and electrical tools who is eager to progress into working on larger plant equipment such as excavators, diggers, telehandlers, breakers, and generators.
With a competitive salary of up to £32,000 basic, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and a supportive work environment, this role offers the perfect platform for career advancement. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and servicing of small diesel machines and electrical tools.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
- Gradually take on responsibilities for maintaining and repairing larger plant equipment, including excavators, diggers, telehandlers, breakers, and generators.
- Ensure all tools and machinery are in safe working condition and meet compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.Qualifications
- Proven experience as a tools fitter or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with small diesel machines and electrical tools.
- A strong desire to progress into plant machinery maintenance and repair.
- Basic mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
