We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join our team in Keighley. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio, video, and control systems across commercial and institutional environments. This is a hands-on role, ensuring AV solutions are delivered to the highest standards, seamlessly integrated with IT infrastructure, and function reliably for our clients.Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
- Install AV equipment including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, mixers, cameras, video switchers, and control systems.
- Mount and secure equipment following safety and industry standards.
- Connect, route, and label cabling for audio, video, and control systems.
- Configure devices and integrate AV solutions with IT networks and conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
- Interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation plans
Testing & Commissioning
- Perform system testing to verify functionality and performance.
- Calibrate audio and video equipment for optimal quality.
- Complete system handover and provide basic end-user training.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting- Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and cabling issues.
- Manage firmware and software updates for AV devices.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with project managers, IT teams, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate inventory of AV tools, equipment, and materials.
- Document configurations, wiring layouts, and service history.
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 2 years’ experience in AV installation and support.
- Strong working knowledge of control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron) and AV networking protocols (Dante, AV-over-IP).
- Proficient in AV system setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in low-voltage wiring, terminations, and cable management.
- Familiarity with rack building and equipment mounting standards.
Soft Skills- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet project deadlines.
Working Conditions- On-site installation, including construction environments.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to ~50 lbs.
- Occasional travel to job sites required.
