Position – Trainee Water Hygiene Technician
Location - Camberley (To work the M3 corridor & UK when needed)
Salary/Package – £19,500 - £27,000 (Age dependant), Van/Fuel Card, PPE/Tools, Training & Development, OT available/Call out after probation.Purpose of the role
As a Trainee Water Hygiene Technician, you will support the delivery of water hygiene and environmental services to a range of clients. You will receive full training to carry out tasks such as monitoring water systems, testing water quality, assisting with Legionella control measures, and maintaining compliance with current legislation (including ACoP L8 and HSG274).
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the water treatment and environmental services industry.
This position WILL offer Training & Development, industry qualifications & recognised accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with Legionella risk management tasks, including:
- Temperature monitoring of water systems
- Water sampling for laboratory analysis
- Inspection of cold-water storage tanks, calorifiers, and associated assets
- Flushing of infrequently used outlets
- Descaling and disinfection of outlets (taps, showers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records and compliance logs for client sites.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company procedures, health & safety policies, and UK water hygiene regulations.
- Use handheld devices and reporting tools to log data accurately and promptly.
- Communicate professionally with clients on-site, representing to a high standard.
- Attend in-house and external training courses to progress towards becoming a fully qualified Water Hygiene Technician.
You must have or hold
- A genuine interest in building a career in the water/environmental services industry.
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a small, dedicated team.
- Plumbing diploma or NVQ – (DESIRABLE)
