Role: BMS Service Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance

My client is seeking an experienced BMS Service Engineer to join their team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and system improvements of Building Management Systems (BMS), with a strong focus on Trend and Tridium platforms. This role requires technical expertise in diagnostics, software/hardware updates, and providing first-class client support while ensuring high system performance and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of BMS systems.
- Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet client requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve BMS hardware, software, and associated plant issues.
- Diagnose faults quickly and accurately to minimise downtime.
- Implement minor system modifications, including software upgrades and hardware replacements.
- Support performance improvements and system optimisation.
- Build strong client relationships by understanding needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Train end-users in the operation and functionality of BMS systems.
- Produce clear, concise service reports and maintain accurate documentation of works carried out.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Provide on-site technical expertise to clients and internal project teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Trend and/or Tridium systems.
- Strong knowledge of control strategies and system operations.
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet.
- Good understanding of HVAC plant operations and electrical systems, including control panel wiring.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and operating systems.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports.
