Job Title: Scenic Draughtsperson
Location: Borehamwood
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PMCompany Overview
A technical event production company supplying AV, lighting and scenery to create innovative live experiences for global brands, iconic venues, and immersive events.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Management team to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for scenic construction and project delivery.
- Create accurate component drawings for CNC and laser cutting.
- Advise on appropriate materials, construction techniques, and finishes to deliver high-quality results.
- Prepare quotations using rental management software and maintain up-to-date project documentation.
- Support workshop and project teams with technical expertise throughout delivery.
- Attend site surveys and client meetings to collaboratively develop project solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong background in CADdesign (2D and 3D) for scenic or event production.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to share expertise to support team growth.
- Proactive in problem solving and comfortable asking for guidance when needed.
