Role: Group IT Systems and Data Manager

Location: Rossendale

Our client, a well-established group of companies supporting major UK construction and infrastructure projects, is seeking a Group IT Systems and Data Manager to lead and develop their IT and data strategy across multiple sites.

The Role

You’ll oversee all group IT systems, software platforms, and data governance, working closely with third-party IT providers and internal teams to ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency. A key part of the role is improving reporting and data integrity to drive better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage core systems (ERP, hire software, Sage, M365, telematics) and 3rd party providers

Lead system upgrades, integrations, and rollouts

Drive data quality, reporting dashboards, and performance metrics

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR)

Deliver IT projects aligned with business needs

Lead a small IT team and provide user support across departments

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a similar IT management role (multi-site/group structure preferred)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, databases, business systems, and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel)

Skilled in managing IT partners and driving digital change

Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

Sector experience in plant hire, construction, or logistics a bonus
