We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop-Based Plant Fitter to join our team at a leading main dealer of plant machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, excavators, and more. As a Workshop-Based Plant Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:- Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, and excavators.
- Ensuring all machinery is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
- Identifying and resolving mechanical and technical issues efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workshop operations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:- Proven experience as a plant fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, and excavators.
- Proficiency in diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred).
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:- Inspecting and diagnosing plant machinery to identify faults or issues.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Collaborating with colleagues to prioritize and complete tasks.
- Keeping the workshop organized and ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Communicating effectively with the team and management to provide updates on progress.
