About the Role

My client, a leading specialist in Building Management Systems, is seeking a skilled BMS Static Service Engineer to join their team on a prestigious static site in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for stability, long-term development, and the chance to play a key role in delivering high-quality BMS support and energy-efficient solutions.

In this position, you will be the on-site expert—ensuring smooth system performance, resolving technical issues, and supporting the client with clear communication and energy-saving insights. If you’re passionate about BMS technology and enjoy working directly with end users, this role offers the ideal platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and reactive repairs on BMS control systems.
  • Provide a first-class customer experience through clear communication, ownership of tasks, and consistent high-quality workmanship.
  • Promote energy efficiency, offering guidance and recommendations to help reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
  • Produce accurate, timely service reports and technical documentation.
  • Identify further service opportunities, prepare field quotations, and pass qualified leads to internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external service partners to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and site work meet all safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience working with Trend BMS systems.
  • Strong technical ability with a track record in diagnosing and repairing control systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the confidence to advise clients and recommend solutions.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety practices and keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive team player with a flexible, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with energy management principles and technologies.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
