IT Project Engineer - MSP

Location: West Hampstead
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

The Opportunity

A fast-growing Managed Service Provider is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join its Project Delivery team. This role focuses on designing and delivering infrastructure and cloud projects for a varied client base, working across multiple technologies and vendors.

The Role

Deliver end-to-end IT projects (design, implementation, testing, documentation & handover)
Act as a senior technical resource across customer and internal projects
Lead Microsoft 365, Azure and server migration projects
Provide technical input to pre-sales and solution design
Act as an escalation point and mentor junior engineers
Ensure change control, documentation and billable time are managed correctly

Key Skills & Experience

Strong VMware experience (VCP desirable)
Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Azure & cloud migrations
Windows Server (2008–2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
Microsoft security solutions (MFA, Intune, compliance, email security)
Networking fundamentals (VPNs, routing, firewalls)
Backup, DR and recovery solutions
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Desirable

AWS or other cloud platforms
VDI / AVD / Citrix
PowerShell scripting
Storage (SAN, NAS, iSCSI)
Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)
CCNA / Network+
Telephony (Teams, 3CX)
Linux exposure
