Position - Event Technician (Lighting)

Location - Manchester

The Company

My client is an industry leading technical event production company & AV partner.  They are growing and looking to expand their Event Technician team within the North West.

The Role

As an Event Technician you will be design, setting up, and operating lighting for a variety of corporate events across the country. You may be working individually or as part of a larger team dependent on the size of the event you are working on.

Previous Event Technician or Lighting Engineer experience is essential ideally working on corporate events.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, set up, and operate lighting systems
• Programming and operating lighting consoles and relates software
• Maintaining and troubleshooting lighting equipment on site and at the company warehouse
• Leading freelance staff during events
• Delivering and collecting equipment for events

Required Qualifications & Attributes

• At least 2 years’ experience as a lighting engineer or event technician (lighting bias) ideally within corporate events
• Up to date knowledge of lighting consoles, networking, DMX protocols, and intelligent lighting
• Familiar with reading CAD drawings
• Full UK Drivers Licences
• Able to lift & carry up to 25Kg
• Comfortable working in the dark and at height

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
