My client is a family ran business with over 30 years’ experience within Forklift Truck Services. Specialising in the hire, sales, and repairs of forklifts across the Southeast, Surrey, Kent and London area. Working closely with several manufacturers including Combi & Flexi. They are a main line dealer of industry known Caterpillar. My client is actively looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their team and continue providing support for the servicing, repairs and maintenance of onsite forklift trucks.

Workshop Engineer  
Croydon
Basic up to £40,000 based on 40 hours week, Overtime paid at £30.90 per hour, month and annual attendance bonuses and 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Ensure the servicing, repairs and maintenance of Forklifts are complete to a high standard.
• Always follow all HSE policies.
• Testing of equipment.
• Completion of the relevant documentation accurately.
• Provide technical support to clients and colleagues. Being able to explain issues to all levels.
• Fault finding of machinery including but not limited to Counterbalance, Reach Trucks, Articulated Trucks & Cherry Picks.
• Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and tidy.
• Respond to customer enquiries within a timely manner.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

• Forklift Truck experience is essential.
• Strong engineering background
• NVQ level 2/3 within Forklift engineering or equivalent experience is beneficial.
• Have a good understanding of LOLER.
• Confident to complete work independently.
• Mechanical and hydraulic experience.
