We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loading shovels, telehandlers, and more. - Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loading shovels, and telehandlers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification (essential).
- Proven experience working with plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, and telehandlers.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
Day-to-Day
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of plant machinery in the workshop.
- Diagnose and repair faults to ensure machinery is operational and safe to use.
- Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
- Provide technical support and advice to team members when required.
