Job Title: Assistant Services Supervisor

Location: Buckinghamshire  

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (DOE) + benefits

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Services Supervisor to support the Service Supervisor and Service Manager in coordinating Service Engineers and ensuring site works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in the wastewater treatment or pumping industry who enjoys a combination of operational coordination, technical administration, and customer liaison.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Health & Safety Officer to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Ensure valid Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place prior to works commencing.
• Support reporting and follow-up of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and tested in accordance with best practice and mandatory requirements (including PAT and LOLER testing).
• Assist in managing water sampling and laboratory analysis processes.
• Support the organisation and scheduling of workloads for Service Engineers.
• Ensure quotations are completed within required timescales (typically within one week).
• Ensure faulty equipment is reported and repaired or replaced as required.
• Assist with van stock checks.
• Support the out-of-hours contact service when required.

Requirements

• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience within the wastewater treatment or pumping industry.
• Good working knowledge of relevant plant and equipment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
