We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a leading OEM specialising in packaging machinery. The company manufactures and services equipment including VFFS, HFFS, flow wrap machines, multi-head weighers, and related systems.

Role Overview

This is an electrically biased role requiring a minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. You will work on industrial packaging machinery within the food industry, supporting installations, commissioning, and service activities across customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with servo drives and electrical control systems
• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
• Working on three-phase machinery in industrial environments
• Site visits primarily within the food industry
• Wiring and rewiring machinery
• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Using digital voltage meters
• Working with sensors, actuators, and inverters
• Carrying out installation, commissioning, and service work

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Experience working with industrial machinery
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently at customer sites
• Willingness to stay away from home 2–3 nights per week on average

Package & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
• Overtime: £25 per hour
• OTE: £70,000+
• Working Hours: 45 hours per week
